Welcome to Infomum Enterprises

This site is intended as an information hub that links together all of my sites and projects. While I have been writing for a long time, and consider myself quite profficient at it, I am still coming to grips with the new technology which is feeding the information explosion. That places me well for my intended purpose, which is to show other ordinary people how to do it, using terms they will understand, and explaining the jargon as I go.

My work at home answers site does this in conversational manner which introduces each topic from a beginner perspective, and leads the reader through the various topics and pages until they have a basic understanding of the concepts and techniques.

My next project is a more advanced site which leads the beginner through the more complicated ideas of backlinking, social bookmarking, using social media, and getting visitors to their pages. My techinical knowledge is not yet sufficient to tutor students in website design other than to show them the easy beginner options I have used while learning.

Other projects in the pipeline expand on my writing skills and offer new outlets for my creativity.

Now -  let me tell you a little about myself. I am a mum and a nurse, and about to turn 50 (December 2009).

I have worked at many things while my children were young and growing. Often I would work unsociable shifts which meant missing out on weekend fun with them. I have tried most of the work from home/partyplan/get rich quick schemes with varying degrees of success and discovered that making money isnt easy or instant – it takes work and time.

Then one day I discovered a site called SBI and it opened my eyes to a whole new world – content rich web sites which earn you income from Google adsense.

Now writing is something I find very easy, so this seemed like the solution for me. And it is. Ok my first website was slow to take off and took me a long time to put together, but I learned a lot during the process. Then real life got in the way and I abandoned my project for close to a year (it happens to all of us, and had I been further along in my learning and development I could have continued to grow my business and made myself a lot more than the $3.90 I ended up with).

But the lessons were learned, and recently I came back to the idea of content rich sites. Now my mission is to grow my empire by teaching others like me who are not terribly internet savvy, how to do what I and many others are doing.

My flagship site is work-at-home-answers.com. This is where I show others the nuts and bolts of choosing a topic and creating great content sites.

My other sites include ebboks-home.com – an ebook storefront, and cbwebdirectory.com – a directory of clickbank vendor sites.

I have a couple of sites under development which are more along the hobby lines – discover-doll-collecting.com for example, which is still in its infancy, but is intended to be a good content rich site about collecting dolls.

My original site death-and-dying-your-way.webs.com is sitting quietly on a freewbes account until I have time to move it to my new host.

So thats me in a nutshell. I will add to this site as and when time permits, but for now I am busy working on my flagship site, and marketing the other sites.  I will gradually add to this site, but for now you can follow my progress at TWITTER – infomum.
